Making mistakes

The only difference between an experienced knitter and new knitter is that the experienced knitter makes bigger mistakes faster. Be bold; there are no terrible consequences in knitting.

Maverick knitting

My good friend Kerry coined this phrase when she saw me knitting a bacon scarf (a 1.2m long strip of bacon) without a pattern.  I was using random stitch types to create the uneven shape of cooked bacon. She was impressed.
